High Accuracy, 6-DoF Simultaneous Localization and Calibration Using Visible Light Positioning

Benefiting from the development of image sensors and popularity light-emitting diode (LED) lighting technology, visible light positioning (VLP) technology based on has ushered in vigorous broad prospects, which can provide low-cost high-accuracy position service. However, existing approaches require dense LEDs or such as gyroscopes to assist positioning, limits area lower accuracy because errors imperfect sensors. In this article, we propose a simultaneous localization calibration VLP method double coplanar circular LED lights aiming get rid dependence additional transmitters. By pinhole camera model perspective projection circle, our proposed extends available relaxes required quantity two. The experiment result showed that system mean 3D 7.91cm, angle error less than 1.6°, an average latency 182ms mobile devices.
